Please join us on April 21, 2009 Get Ready to Rock the Green!  Join us on Tuesday, April 21st at the spectacular Stone Eagle Golf Club for a tournament to benefit Friends of the Desert Mountains. Proceeds from the two-day event raise funds supporting our mission to secure and preserve lands in the Coachella Valley, and to support conservation and education at the big rock – the Santa Rosa & San Jacinto Mountains National Monument. Your registration includes our pre-tournament Rock Star Party on Monday evening, April 20th at the new Henderson Community Center, located at 72-559 Highway 111, in Palm Desert.Become one of our rock stars. Schedule of Events Monday, April 20: Rock Star Party at the Henderson Community Center 6:00 p.m. - Registration, Cocktail Reception & Silent Auction 7:00 p.m. - Dinner and Live Auction Tuesday, April 21: Stone Eagle Golf Club 11:00 a.m. - Registration and Practice Range 12:15 p.m. - Shot-Gun Start, Shamble Format, Golf Course Special Events After Golf - Cocktails & Awards Henderson Community Center Named after brothers Clifford and Randall Henderson who helped found Palm Desert in the 1940s, the beautiful new Henderson Community Center was built using rapidly renewable and recycled materials, and features massive, thermally-insulated concrete walls against glass structures. Stone Eagle Golf Club, located in Palm Desert off Highway 74 just south of Highway 111, Stone Eagle Golf Club opened in November, 2005. e first Tom Doak-designed golf course in the Coachella Valley, it features a 6,801 yard, par 71 course nestled a thousand feet above the valley floor.
