🎉 We are collecting GENTLY USED SHOES* -from sandals to snowboots- to keep them out of landfills and in the re-use economy. Friends has partnered with Funds2Orgs and will be compensated per pould of shoes collected.

Friends of the Desert Mountains connects people to the land through conservation, education, and research. We also are the official non-profit partner of the Santa Rosa and San Jacinto Mountains National Monument.

What happens to the shoes?

The shoes are put back on feet as the primary option, often inother countries where the need is great. Other shoes get repurposed by craftspeople who specialize in recycling materials. Best of all, we help Coachella Valley meet sustainability goals and raise funds for Friends: $.25/lb >> 2,000lbs; $.40/lb >>3,000lbs; $.50/lb>>4,000lbs.
