Juan Bautista de Anza National Historic Trail Outing and Hike

This special educational tour takes participants on an epic adventure along a portion of the Juan Bautista de Anza National Historic Trail corridor. The program shares stories of the historic Juan Bautista de Anza expedition that began 250 years ago, that spanned over 1,000 miles of the southwest.
We will stop at a few points of interest and take short hikes at a few stopping points along Highways 74 and 371; talking about the remote landscapes within the Santa Rosa and San Jacinto Mountians that early settlers had to navigate, as well as the historical importance that this expedition had with its profound impact on the cultural and political landscapes of the United States.
LOCATION: Map with meeting spots will be emailed to registered participants. *You will need to drive your own personal vehicle to participate in this multiple stop, tour program.
Hike rating, elevation change, length: EASY hike on short segments at various point of interest along Highway 74 corridor.
