Free Lecture: Endangered Species Are Closer Than You Think

  • Santa Rosa & San Jacinto Mountains National Monument Visitor Center 51500 California 74 Palm Desert, CA, 92260 United States (map)

As a resident or visitor to the Coachella Valley, did you know that the mountains you see through your bedroom window, the sandy undeveloped lot you pass on the way to the grocery store, and even your own backyard might hold endangered species? Come learn about some of the threatened and endangered plants and animals you share a home with and figure out how you can be a better neighbor! Families welcome: you can bring a pack lunch to enjoy on a shaded patio afterwards.

Meet at the Cahuilla Theater inside the Visitor Center. RSVP required, seating is limited. This is a free lecture but donations are welcome.
