Women Hiking Together
The Canyon Cougars are a group of women who hold a fundraising hike for the Friends of the Desert Mountains every year. For their 3rd annual fundraiser, the Cougars walked 12 miles from the Cathedral City Cove to the Santa Rosa & San Jacinto Mountains National Monument Visitor Center!
Sponsor a cougar today, and your donation goes towards annual Coachella Valley Wildflower Festival, held at the Santa Rosa & San Jacinto Mountains National Monument Visitor Center in Palm Desert. The festival celebrates the spring bloom, outdoor recreation, and desert conservation.
The Canyon Cougars welcome all women at any level of hiking skill, from beginners to trail veterans. Hiking in the Coachella Valley is a passionate pastime of ours. We love that our hike agenda is easy: there is no pressure to hike fast or slow, just great company walking in the mountains together.
