Earl Henderson Trail Hike

Description: Enjoy this easy hike along the hillside above Araby Wash. Explore the wonders of this critical habitat area to learn about the endangered Casey’s June Beetle and fire ecology in this sensitive habitat area. On our return loop, we will wander down into the wash to check out a few desert plants.

Overview: This easy hike (Rating below 50) is generally suitable for anyone who enjoys walking. Mostly level or with a slight incline.

Time: 9:00AM – 12:00PM

Distance: 3 miles

Elevation Gain: 100 feet (equals 10 flights of stairs)

Terrain & Obstacles: Some of this trail is in a sandy wash, full sun exposure for the duration of the hike.

Requirements: Minimum 2 liters of water and a snack, Closed-toe shoes, No dogs allowed

Recommended: Sunscreen and hat, Hiking poles, Long sleeve shirt
