Join Us for a Benefit Screening of Philip Glass’ Famed EcoDocumentary KOYAANISQATSI!

In celebration of the 25th anniversary of our local National Conservation Lands, we invite you to enjoy a big-screen showing of Philip Glass’ powerful non-narrative documentary Koyaanisqatsi, featuring an exclusive introduction by film critic Nate Wyckoff of Cult and Classic Films!

50% of all tickets sold will go to benefit the Santa Rosa and San Jacinto Mountains National Monument.

About Koyaanisqatsi (1982) Scored by legendary composer Philip Glass, director Godfrey Reggio’s seminal documentary offers a blending of stunning footage from both the natural world and industrial world that results in a non-narrative experience at the same time haunting and beautiful.This powerful film counts among its fans Francis Ford Coppola, George Lucas, and Steven Soderbergh, all of whom claim the film among their own inspirations. Coppola himself was so moved on first viewing that he used his influence to ensure the film obtained a wide release so the public could experience what critic Roger Ebert called “visionary” and “an impressive visual and listening experience.”
