La Quinta Cove Full Moon Hike

Description: Experience a hike by moonlight! See the beauty of the shadows and wash of moonlight over our mountains. We will be looking for all types of night creatures along the trail. Our astronomers will have their telescope set-up to view the night sky. This is a family friendly hike.
Overview: This easy hike (Rating below 50) is generally suitable for anyone who enjoys walking. Mostly level or with a slight incline.
Time: 7:00PM – 9:00PM

Distance: 2.5 miles
Elevation Gain: 150 feet (equals 15 flights of stairs)
Terrain & Obstacles: The trail is 6 feet wide at the beginning and narrows to 2 feet wide with cobbled, uneven desert terrain and sandy wash.
Requirements: Bring 1-2 liter of water per person, headlamp or flashlight and wear close-toed shoes.
Recommended: Hiking poles.
