VOLUNTEER ONLY: “For the Love of Chuckwalla” Bus Tour

Volunteers – join us on this free fun bus tour of the new Chuckwalla National Monument.
Enjoy a luxury bus tour of Box Canyon:
- Optional hike from the Mecca Grotto Trailhead
- Explore a slot canyon (optional)
- Learn the history of the area with Desert Hot Springs Councilmember Gary Gardner and CalWild’s Linda Castro
- Learn about the successful community campaign to establish Chuckwalla National Monument & expand Joshua Tree National Park – and what happens post-designation and how you can get involved.
Snacks and drinks provided – bring your own lunch.
Wear closed-toed shoes, a sun hat, sunscreen and bring water/carrier for the hike.
Meet at 11:45am in the parking lot of Sam’s Club for an on-time departure at 12noon.
