SUMMARY:Cove to Lake Overlook Interpretative Hike
DESCRIPTION:Explore a popular trail in La Quinta Cove!\n\n\nJoin Friends’ volunteer docent for this interpretative hike to the Morrow Trail Overlook to Lake Cahuilla. This is an easy hike through loose sand and established pathways.  \nWe begin with a gradual incline\, dip into a wash and then gradually climb and descend\, ups and downs\, along a rocky path to an overlook of manmade Lake Cahuilla. We will hike about 5 miles out and back over 2-3 hours. Along the way we will discuss Coachella Valley water supply and conservation\, including native plants and their adaptation to our water capacity.  \nBring 2 liters of water\, snacks\, wear closed-toed shoes\, a sun hat and sunscreen. Sorry\, no dogs allowed on this trail.  \nRSVP is required\, and you must bring your ticket with you for check-in 15 minutes prior to start time.
