SUMMARY:Endangered Animals of the Monument: Randall Henderson Interpretative Hike
DESCRIPTION:Explore the Randall Henderson Trail with a volunteer docent and learn about two of our federally threatened animals and the challenges they face in the ever-changing environment. Both play different\, but equally important roles in the desert ecology. The docent will help you search for them as you hike. \nHike rating is easy for both the 3 loops/2.5 miles OR the 2 loops/1.5 miles of trail. Elevation gain for the 3 loops is 350 feet. While elevation gain for 2 loops is 250 feet. Sorry no dogs are allowed on this trail. Bring snacks and 2 liters of water per person. Wear close-toed shoes\, sun hat and sunscreen. \nRSVP is required. Check-in begins 15 minutes prior to start time. \nPlease note: We will meet at the Randall Henderson Trailhead parking lot located at the Visitor Center.
