The Santa Rosa & San Jacinto Mountains National Monument Science Plan

We're partnering with the University of California, Riverside to help answer big questions in the Santa Rosa & San Jacinto Mountains National Monument: Where are the different plants and animals of our desert found today, and how are they changing over time? The answers to these questions will be essential to our conservation decisions as we continue to deal with the effects of climate change and direct human disturbance.

Thankfully, you won't need a graduate degree or months of training to help - all you need to do is observe and record the natural world when you're already on the trail. We will start out next week with a classroom training session and a walk on the Randall Henderson Trail.
