Carrizo Canyon Interpretative Hike

Join our volunteer docent, Larry, for a hike in Carrizo Canyon. This canyon is open October through December. Carrizo Canyon is a great geologic wonder and provides opportunities to see the endangered Peninsular Bighorn Sheep and other interesting desert flora and fauna. Hike rating is easy to moderate, approximately 3 miles round trip. Elevation gain about 300 feet. Bring snacks and 2 liters of water per person. Wear close-toed shoes, hat and sunscreen. Due to public health regulations it is suggested that you wear a mask and practice social distancing.

RSVP is required and you must bring your ticket with you for check-in at 8:15 AM. Ticket reservations begins 14 days prior to the event. Sorry, no dogs allowed.

Please note: The Art Smith Trailhead parking lot is located just past the driveway for the Visitor Center approximately 100 feet on the southwest side of Highway 74.
